Canon and Non-canon
[edit]Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard a lot of talk from various places that Gaia Gear, G-Saviour, and Hathaway's Flash (though that last one doesn't effect this article) are non-canon stories (Hathaway's Flash was considered to be non-canon, due to the fact that many events sparking it come from the Novel Beltorchika's Children which was replaced by the Movie Char's Counterattack, and therefore created some discontinuities between them). If anyone can cite this information then feel free to edit the article, but don't do so until you can site them. --71.245.245.54 10:07, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Sunrise's status of several Late Universal Century elements
[edit]it not part of the offical U>C time timeline becuse yoshikuki tomino vocie his disaproval of it you need have the approval of both to be cannon --Quoted from edit summary by 24.118.153.134 22:35, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sunrise doesn't look for approval from creator Yoshiyuki Tomino before it includes or removes elements from the Japanese Universal Century calendar system. There are several elements of Gundam of which Tomino voiced disapproval or tried to remove, and yet they are still part of Sunrise's Universal Century. Until Sunrise says otherwise, we're stuck with them.
- Those elements include episode 15 of the first Gundam series and much of V Gundam. Tomino removed episode 15 of the first Gundam series from the American release, but it's still on the television broadcast and DVD release in Japan. Tomino titled his V Gundam liner note interview: "Don't buy these DVDs because you should not watch them!!" but all of V Gundam is still part of Sunrise's Universal Century calendar system.
